Elizabeth Nyboer

I am a freshwater ecologist and conservation scientist exploring how anthropogenic stressors affect biodiversity and ecosystem services in inland aquatic ecosystems. I use  both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to integrate social, ecological, and environmental data to understand the vulnerability of these systems to environmental change. My PhD research at McGill University focused on the effects of climate change on the fisheries of the Lake Victoria basin in East Africa, and my post-doctoral work at Carleton University investigates the interface between evidence-based decision making and policy in Canada.
