Our lab received over $1million in funding from CFI for fish telemetry and water quality equipment to study the Great Lakes. In fact, this is just the Carleton portion with an additional $6million going to our collabs at other universities in southern ON (esp Windsor and Trent). We will also have a provincial match of funds so the total government investment will be more than $12million. This will be a game changer for our ability to generate science to inform management of the Great Lakes. Aline Litt Jill Brooks and Sarah Rabideau represented our lab at the event. The Minister of Environment and Climate Change was on hand for the announcement.
