COOKE LAB & FRIENDS CLEAN UP SHORELINE ALONG RIDEAU RIVER

On Wednesday, September 24th a group of FECPL members and friends volunteered with  the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup initiative to collect trash along a 2km section of the Rideau River. The event was highly productive with the group collecting 8 garbage bags full of trash totalling over 120lbs. Some interesting items included sandals, shoes, clothes, car tires, frisbees, and several fishing lures that will be added to the lab’s tackle box!

Thanks to all who participated in the successful event and to Daniel Struthers for organizing it. Hope to see you out on the shoreline next year!
